About the Farnham Community Task Force.

Offices

The Farnham Community Task Force was set up as a "stakeholder group" for Farnham Town in 2001 by Acting Superintendent Neil Boon. Its mission statement is "to identify and address community concerns regarding crime and disorder, and to provide solutions".

The first meeting of the Farnham Community Task Force was held in October 2001, and it has met every two to three months since then. The minutes of meetings are available for public inspection.

The members of the group currently include Town Council staff and Councillors, representatives from Surrey Police and the Police Authority, the Chairmen of the Police & Community Partnership Group and the Crime Prevention Panel, and representatives from the Chamber of Commerce, Pub Watch, UCCA students, Neighbourhood Watch and local voluntary organisations. Representatives of other organisations are also invited to attend from time to time. The Farnham Community Task Force is financed by annual grants from Farnham Town Council.

The purpose of the Farnham Community Task Force is to look at the issues contributing to crime and disorder in the area of Farnham Town and surrounding villages, and to find solutions to these problems. You can contact the Task Force to report any problems through their web site.
