Your Union - How It Works

You are the boss, we work for you, and you are all members not only of this Union but of the NUS (National Union of Students) as well. You have the power to make change here in this Union. You are atoumatically a member when you become a student at UCCA.

The Students' Union went through the most pivotal part of it's history in 2005 as the Surrey Institute and the Kent Institute merged together to create the new University College for the Creative Arts at Canterbury, Epsom, Farnham, Maidstone and Rochester.

Just as the Institutions merged together, the Students' Union at Surrey and the Student Association at Kent had to do the same.  With everything pretty much now in place in terms of operations, across the five campuses we are much stronger now and have a much louder voice to represent you on a local, national and international level.

The Students' Union has a basic structure for how it all works, the Sabbatical Officers, employ a team of staff members that helps support and provide opportunities for you throughout the year.
